The Challenge
With the explosive growth TRADIE was experiencing, their buying trips and corporate travel costs quickly added up to a significant monthly amount.
Pre-COVID they were going on buying trips every 6 months all around the world: six destinations across Europe, and between one and two in the USA – This was costing them thousands and taking straight from their bottom line.

The Solution

Because they were able to earn the full reward points on their BAS, freight, and advertising expenses and pay those suppliers that wouldn’t accept AMEX, TRADIE accumulated over 2 million AMEX Reward points using pay.com.au.
As frequent flyers of Qantas, the team decided to convert their AMEX Rewards to over 1 million Qantas Points.

The Outcome
So how does TRADIE plan to use all those Qantas Points?
Apart from covering the partial cost of travel, they are now able to incentivise staff with Business Class seats and hotel upgrades. As the Aussie powerhouse TRADIE continues to expand, staff are now looking forward to the interstate and round world trips that were becoming much of a chore flying economy.
Now the team are planning for their upcoming stay in Queensland to watch the TRADIE car fly down the Gold Coast 500 – almost entirely funded through the points earned with pay.com.au
