Damien Waller

Chairman

Damien Waller is the chairman of pay.com.au; a business payments platform that rewards business owners on all their expenses when they traditionally wouldn’t be.

As an experienced and highly regarded online entrepreneur, Damien is a major investor in a number of high growth businesses, such as a telemedicine business, a frequent flyer points advisory site and an aged care comparison service.

Having founded iSelect in 2000, the company grew to be a driving force in financial services comparison and intermediation in Australia. Prior to his departure in 2017, iSelect rapidly grew its market share in private health insurance to more than 15% from zero, with Damien driving the expansion of the business into new markets, namely energy, broadband, life insurance and general insurance.

Edward Alder

Managing Director

Edward Alder is the Managing Director and Co-Founder of pay.com.au, bringing over 16 years of experience in roles encompassing strategy, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate development, capital raisings, distressed banking and working capital management. He also has extensive experience in strategic business reviews of key stakeholders.

In 2014, Edward joined iSelect as Head of Corporate Development and was later appointed to Group Executive for Growth in 2015.

Prior to joining iSelect, Edward worked at M&A Partners as a senior member of their corporate advisory team, ANZ Bank and in various roles at Ernst and Young across the United Kingdom, Europe and Australia.

Richard Bourke

Non-Executive Director

Richard Bourke is a Non-executive Director at pay.com.au and is currently the CFO and an active board member for InstantScripts

With 14 years’ experience within investment banking, financial modelling advisory and in-house M&A, he is highly experienced in accelerating growth, accessing capital, and scaling for success.

Richard sits on the board of multiple technology companies, providing advice and guidance around driving growth and building value. As an accomplished Corporate Advisor and Investor, he has been pivotal in the development of strategies across a number of large businesses including iSelect, Point Hacks and InstantScripts.

David McCall

Non-Executive Director

David McCall is the Head of Strategy and Commercial Management at Swinburne University, where he leads the strategy, delivery, commercial and product management functions.

David joined Swinburne in 2015, having previously held senior positions in financial services and online businesses. David has also been involved in a number of digital start-ups across both Australia and Southeast Asia.

Following the completion of an MBA at Melbourne Business School, David joined the consulting teams at Bain and then Booz & Company, where he focused on strategy and operational performance. Post consulting, David held senior leadership roles at ANZ, in Strategy and M&A, Retail Banking and most recently in the Asia-Pacific Division as CEO for the American Territories. David then moved back into strategy in roles with Seek and iSelect, and held a number of Board positions during his time with ANZ.
