As the loyalty program of hotels like Sofitel, Raffles, Fairmont, Pullman, Swissotel, and more, Accor Live Limitless (ALL) provides a great opportunity to book your next luxury stay using points. But Accor’s portfolio also stretches far beyond the high-end, encompassing more affordable brands like Novotel, Mantra, and even Ibis, too.

Wherever you’re headed, there’s a good chance that ALL can take you there. Here’s how your PayRewards Points can help.

Converting PayRewards Points into ALL Reward points

Get your PayRewards Points ALL ready for your next hotel stay (ahem…) by converting them into Reward points with Accor Live Limitless at a 4:1 rate. There’s no limit to the number of PayRewards Points you can transfer.

Let’s say you have a cool 500,000 PayRewards Points to play with. You could transfer these into 125,000 Accor Live Limitless Reward points, worth €2,500 towards your accommodation costs. At current exchange rates, that’s around $4,300 in value towards your next trip.

Spending your Accor Live Limitless Reward points on hotel stays

Accor’s Reward points are valued in Euros – Accor is a French company, after all. This means there are no reward charts or hoops to jump through, keeping things easy to understand. Simply, every ALL Reward point is worth two Euro cents towards accommodation.

If a room can be booked with cash, you can generally use your ALL Reward points towards the bill. You can do this by:

    • Spending just 1,000 ALL Reward points for a €20 saving, or
    • Using 2,000 ALL Reward points for a €40 saving, or
    • Redeeming multiples of 2,000 ALL Reward points (€40 saving per 2,000 points).

That’s great for us Down Under, particularly when the Euro is rather strong against the Aussie dollar. That means spending just 2,000 ALL Reward points can knock around $69 AUD off your next hotel bill.

You can redeem your points when booking online, on most eligible pre-paid and flexible rates. You can also redeem your ALL Reward points in person on check-out, to reduce the final amount due on your hotel folio.

Personally, I’m a big fan of spending points at the front desk. That’s because you can redeem points you’ve earned even after booking your stay, to maximise your savings. Tell me one airline that lets you cash in your points when standing at baggage claim, after the flight has landed!

You can also book accommodation through ALL’s Dream Stays offers. These are pre-set packages at listed hotels during specified dates. It’s great if you can make it work, but in my book, nothing beats using points at check-out.

Transferring your ALL Reward points into frequent flyer points

Another option is to convert your ALL Reward points into airline miles. It’s a handy move if you need just a few more frequent flyer points to land your dream flight.

That said, this isn’t something we’d normally do in bulk, simply because ALL Reward points have so much more value when applied towards accommodation. But if your frequent flyer account needs a quick top-up, here are some of your many options:

    • Convert to Virgin Australia Velocity at a 1:1 rate.
    • Transfer to Qantas Frequent Flyer at a 1:1.25 rate.
    • Top-up your account with Air Canada Aeroplan, Cathay Pacific Asia Miles, Delta SkyMiles, Etihad Guest, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer and others at a 2:1 rate.
    • Exchange 4 ALL Reward points for 1 mile with Emirates Skywards and Aegean Miles+Bonus.
    • Swap ALL Reward Points for Air China Phoenix Miles at a 5:4 rate.

Most programs have a minimum conversion amount, usually in the range of 1,000 to 4,000 ALL Reward points. In many cases, you’ll need to convert points in that same increment.

Still, just keep in mind that if your points are sourced from PayRewards and you’re looking to fly, you’ll get the best value by converting those rewards directly from PayRewards to one of Pay’s many direct airline transfer partners. While you can convert points through ALL, you’d receive fewer airline miles from the same starting balance of PayRewards Points.

Converting ALL Reward points into other loyalty points

There are a few other ways to transfer points from Accor Live Limitless to programs on the ground.

One option is converting points from ALL to Woolworths’ Everyday Rewards program. For every 2,000 ALL Reward points, you’ll receive 4,000 Everyday Rewards points. That’s enough for $20 off your next supermarket shop. But we should point out, if you used those 2,000 ALL Reward points towards accommodation instead, you’d be saving close to $69 on your next hotel bill. That’s more than three times as much as value, compared to the grocery route.

Alternatively, if you’re heading to Europe and looking to save on high-speed rail, Accor Live Limitless also has you covered. You can convert your rewards to the Die Bahn loyalty program of Deutsche Bahn, where every two ALL Reward points unlocks one Bahn Bonus Point. ALso, every 2,000 ALL Reward points converted to Club Eurostar Rewards begets 300 Club points.

Redeeming ALL Reward points on experiences

Looking even broader, you can use ALL Reward points to attend sporting events, theatrical concerts, music tours and more.

In Australia, take your pick of NRL and NRLW tickets at Accor Stadium, where most Category A tickets can be had for just 500 ALL Reward points. Or, catch a performance at Qudos Bank Arena and exchange your ALL Reward points for a ticket.

While there’s some variance to allow for redemptions at nice, rounded numbers, the underlying value of these bookings tends to be €20 per 2,000 ALL Reward points. That’s greater value than using points at the supermarket, as we’ve covered. But you’ll still get twice as much value by saving those points for hotel stays.

It gets more enticing when there’s a ‘points auction’ – especially for tennis fans. Accor Live Limitless is an official partner of Roland-Garros: the French Open. One lucky ALL member just successfully bid 162,001 Reward points for a pair of tickets to the Men’s French Open final. Now that’s commitment to the sport!

Making the most of Accor Live Limitless

It doesn’t cost anything to join Accor Live Limitless, so why not sign up? Once that’s done, link your ALL account to PayRewards so that you’re ready to be rewarded. Plus, take note of these final few tips to maximise your points with ALL.

    • Consider getting an Accor Plus card
Accor has a paid add-on to ALL, Accor Plus. It unlocks 50% discounts on dining across Asia Pacific, a free hotel night every year, plus an instant boost to ALL Silver status. In turn, that means you can earn precisely 24% more ALL Reward points on paid hotel stays. Plus, get 20 bonus elite nights per year, meaning ALL Gold status is yours with just 10 actual nights spent in hotels every year.
    • Link your ALL and Qantas Frequent Flyer accounts
Through the tie-up, you’ll be able to double-dip on rewards every time you travel. Stay in an Accor hotel in Asia Pacific to earn Qantas Points on top of your usual Accor rewards. Plus, travel with Qantas on paid fares to earn ALL Reward points in addition to your usual serve of Qantas Points (and Status Credits).
    • Top-up your ALL account from credit card spend
Need a few extra Reward points? You can also convert points from CommBank Awards to ALL at a 5:1 rate, from NAB Rewards at a 6:1 rate or from Virgin Money Rewards at a 3:1 rate.
