We’re excited to announce that PayID is now live on pay.com.au – unlocking a new, faster way for your business to pay suppliers, payroll, and more. If you’ve ever felt the drag of bank delays or batch payment bottlenecks, this one’s for you.
Whether you’re sending wages or settling invoices, PayID can help you process bank transfer payments faster and unlock more reward points potential. All while keeping things secure and simple.
PayID is a fast, secure payment method supported by most Australian banks. Instead of using BSB and account numbers, you pay to a unique email or identifier (like the PayID assigned to your pay.com.au account).
Behind the scenes, it’s a real-time bank transfer. This means faster clearances and same-day settlement.
With pay.com.au, we assign each customer a unique PayID, which means:
Let’s talk payroll. One of the biggest, most frequent business expenses. Until now, some customers faced payment limits, or eligibility issues with PayTo, our previous faster-payment method.
Now with PayID, more customers can access fast, same-day payroll payments, with no waiting for payment files to clear or be authorised hours later.
Why this matters:
| Bank | Limit (Approx.) |
| CBA | $100,000 |
| NAB | $100,000 |
| Suncorp | $50,000 |
| ANZ | $50,000 via web, $25,000 via app |
| Westpac | Up to $100,000,000 |
| Macquarie | Only $10,000 (less suitable for payroll) |
You can often increase your bank’s Pay Anyone/PayID limit via online banking or by calling them – the same way you’d raise your normal transfer limit.
To keep things seamless and secure, we’ve limited PayID usage to real-time, direct transactions. That means PayID is not available for:
