As FY24/25 wraps up, we’re reflecting on a big year at pay.com.au. Packed with growth, new features, and major milestones. All fuelled by our mission to make business payments smarter, more rewarding, and more flexible. Here’s a look at what we’ve achieved.

    Growth at a glance

    • 6 major product features launched
    • 6 new rewards partners added to PayRewards
    • Over 12 airline and hotel programs now available for points transfers
    • 2 major industry recognitions from SmartCompany and LinkedIn
    • And much more

From platform improvements to deeper rewards integrations, our focus has remained simple: deliver more value to Australian businesses with every payment made.

    PayRewards took off. Literally

In the 2024-25 financial year, we more than doubled the number of PayRewards transfer partners. Giving you more ways to turn business your business spend into travel, accommodation, and lifestyle rewards.

New airline and hotel partners this year

That brings us to 12 transfer partners across airlines and hotels – and we’re just getting started.

Even better, from 1 July, 2025, we improved our transfer rates for Qantas and Virgin Australia from 2.5:1 to 2:1, meaning you’ll now get more value for every point earned through business payments.

Platform upgrades that make life easier

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to improve the experience for everyone – from bookkeepers to business owners to staff.

Here’s some of our top picks:

    Retry failed payments

You can now retry most failed payments directly from your Transactions page. No support tickets, no delays. Just fast self-service.

    Same day payments with PayID

All customers now have access to PayID. Enabling same-day bank payments. Each payment has a unique reference and refunds are auto-triggered if something goes wrong.

    Custom authorisation

Admins can now define custom approval rules by payment type or dollar value – a new layer of control designed for growing businesses and larger teams.

Passkeys for faster and more secure logins

You can now use passkeys instead of passwords for a faster, more secure login experience. Head to your profile to set yours up.

    Self-service gift cards

Send thank-yous, incentives, and staff rewards in just a few clicks with our new gift card feature, now available in-platform.

    A new rewards experience

We overhauled the Rewards section with a brand new interface and more accessible features. Now:

    • Anyone can explore rewards. No payment onboarding required
    • Staff can access and manage rewards too
    • You can transfer points between PayRewards accounts
    • Everything rewards-related is now in one, centralised hub

We also refreshed our Rewards Calculator to make it even easier to see the value of every dollar you spend through pay.com.au.

    Recognition from the industry

We’re proud to have been recognised by two of Australia’s most respected business platforms:

    • #1 on SmartCompany’s Smart50 List – Australia’s fastest-growing SMEs
    • Top Startups 2024 by LinkedIn – One of Australia’s most exciting places to work and grow
    • We were also named a finalist for FinTech Organisation of the Year at the 2025 FinTech Australia Finnies – a huge milestone for our team and our customers.

    Looking ahead

The next financial year is already shaping up to be even bigger.

We’re continuing to invest in better payment features, more flexible reward options, and new partnerships that will take PayRewards to the next level.

If you’ve been with us for the journey – thank you. If you’re new to pay.com.au, now’s the perfect time to see how we can turn your business payments into something more.
