January 2023 Release Notes
Welcome to the official release notes for pay.com.au. We hope you enjoy all the new features and improvements we’ve made.
Here’s what we’ve been up to in the month of January.
New Features🔨
Email Batching
Previously, each time you authorised a payment, had an invoice issued, or received remittance advice, the emails from pay.com.au would be sent every single time.
This often meant you would receive an influx of emails, making it hard to keep track and stay organised.
With our new email batching feature we have now consolidated all authorised payment confirmations, payment invoices and remittance advice emails you would usually receive, into just three separate emails.
New user onboarding checklists
When joining any platform one of the most challenging things to figure out is what to do next. We recognise this is a challenge for many, which is why we’ve introduced our new checklist feature. Checklists are designed to guide users through key actions like, identity verification, adding payment methods and payees and actioning your first payment.
Improvements 🔨
UI
- Tooltip added for “payment date” This helps clarify any confusion by explaining in the tooltip “This is the date your payment will be initiated. Payment processing times vary depending on your selected payment method and should be considered when selecting the date”
- Sorting and filtering added to payees lists – You can now use the search bar to lookup payee and business names.
- Generate payer message if not present for ABA payments
Bug Fix
- Credit card validation to prevent scheduling a payment to a date after the credit card expiry.
- Accept spaces when editing payee phone numbers
- Joint bank account sharing – Now If there are 2 payees with the same bank account both payees are added. (Previously only the 1st payee on the account was being saved/matched.
Arriving soon 🧳
As January comes to a close we’ve started focusing our attention towards further design work for recurring payments.
That’s the end of our January release round-up. We hope these new features and improvements make managing your business payments a much more enjoyable experience.
